CoBank "Sharing Success" 2023

"Sharing Success" is a charitable matching contribution program provided to CoBank’s participating customers. This year, customers were able to nominate up to four qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations for a maximum matching contribution per CoBank customer of $10,000.

South Texas Electric Cooperative, Inc. (STEC) is a proud participant in the CoBank Sharing Success program. STEC donated $10,000 to NRECA International as part of the 2023 Sharing Success program and nominated it for a matching $10,000 donation from CoBank.

STEC, along with other cooperatives in Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) Group 7, are sponsoring a NRECA International project to bring electricity to a community in Guatemala this year.

NRECA International promotes the electric cooperative model as the best way to bring energy services to rural areas in developed as well as developing economies. Electric cooperatives have the power to harness innovation, community self-interest, and mutual self-reliance to overcome significant economic obstacles to long-term sustainability.
