STEC Adopted Christmas Families
The Rayburn plant adopted their family through KIDZConnection. The family had recently had some hard times as the Dad was in an accident and the Mom provides the only income right now. The day we visited she said, "I was just thinking how will we even have Christmas for the kids this year and then you called."
Santa and the elves delivered the presents on December 22, 2014, and the family gave Santa & the elves a Christmas card.
The Mom told us, "My kids are my whole world. You can’t imagine how happy I am that they will have a good Christmas thanks to you guys! God will bless each and everyone of you for such a blessing to my family."
The Donna office worked with St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and adopted three families this year. They used the STEC employee donations to provide each family with the essentials (blankets, towels, cookware, heaters, and HEB gift cards, etc...) Two HEB gift cards were also given to their two 2013 adopted families, as a token of goodwill and remembrance.
The gifts were delivered by Santa and the Donna employees and a Red Gate employee on December 15, 2014. Each family was so appreciative of the gifts as most of the children were not going to receive presents this year. Loretta Gallaga said, "To see the joy this brought to each child was priceless."
The Pearsall Transmission department worked with the Child State Board in Pearsall and helped three families with a total of ten kids. Rick Rendon said, “The Child State Board accepts the donated gifts and all you learn are the first names of the kids so this keeps it more anonymous. Each child received clothing, a present, and each family an HEB gift card.
Way to help others in our communities enjoy a Merry Christmas this year STEC employees!!!
